PLA Family of CompaniesJOB OVERVIEW Department : Freight Brokerage Reports To: Carrier Operations Manager Work Location: Orlando, FL Travel Required: None ABOUT THE ROLE At PLA, our Freight Brokerage team keeps freight moving for customers who count on us to deliver. We're looking for a Carrier Sales Representative who enjoys being on the phone, building relationships, and winning the negotiation. In this role you won't sit behind a desk processing paperwork. You'll be finding the right carrier for each load, closing at the right rate, and making sure every shipment gets where it needs to go. The job comes with weekly pay, the option to access your earnings before payday, full benefits, and a 401(k) with up to a 4% company match. WHAT YOU'LL DO Carrier Network Development: Build and grow a network of trusted carriers, from onboarding new partners to strengthening existing relationships. Load Coverage: Cover loads by posting to load boards, taking and making calls, negotiating rates, and securing carriers for dedicated opportunities. Customer Service: Partner with our Customer Sales team to meet customer deadlines and solve problems when things don't go as planned. Tracking and Tracing: Track shipments from pickup to delivery, keep everyone informed, and update our Transportation Management System (TMS). Administrative Support: Support the team with Proof-of-Delivery requests, billing questions, and carrier accessorial requests. WHAT YOU BRING At least 1 year of customer service experience (required). Negotiation or logistics experience is a plus. If you've worked in sales, dispatch, or a fast-paced customer-facing role, we want to hear from you. Strong communication skills, both on the phone and in writing. Sound judgment and the confidence to make decisions quickly. Good time management and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. WHAT WE OFFER Pay and Time Off Weekly Pay: You're paid on time, every week. Daily Pay Option: You can access your earnings before payday.
