Role Description The Carrier Sales Rep is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. In this position, the individual will source, onboard, and manage carrier partners, negotiating rates and capacity to support daily freight operations. Responsibilities include building and maintaining strong carrier relationships, matching available loads with carrier equipment, monitoring shipments for on-time pickup and delivery, and resolving service issues as they arise. The role also involves regular phone and email outreach, maintaining accurate records in transportation management systems, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure high service standards and cost-effective solutions. The Carrier Sales Rep is expected to meet performance targets while delivering professional, proactive communication to carriers and internal stakeholders. Qualifications Demonstrated strength in relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service to effectively work with carrier partners and internal teams. Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple shipments, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with basic computer applications and transportation or logistics systems (e.g., TMS platforms), and comfort with phone and email communication. Analytical and problem-solving skills to address service issues, evaluate carrier performance, and make data-informed decisions. Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage is strongly preferred; knowledge of asset-based and 3PL operations is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, supply chain, or a related field is an advantage. Ability to work on-site in the Greater Tampa Bay Area, collaborate with colleagues, and maintain a professional, inclusive work environment.
