We help clients cut shipping costs and negotiate better agreements with their carriers. The Role The Analyst runs savings analyses and supports carrier negotiations for our clients. The work is mostly parcel, with some freight. You'll work alongside our Negotiators and senior team members who price and negotiate carrier contracts. Within 12–18 months, you should be running analyses on your own. From there, you can take on more of the negotiation work, which leads into the Carrier Relations Negotiator role. What You Will Do Run rate comparisons and savings analyses on client shipping data with Negotiators and senior team members Question results that don't look right and trace them back to the source Support active negotiations with data prep, rate benchmarking and proposal models Track contract performance, renewal dates and savings results for active clients Research carrier programs, GRIs and surcharge changes, and flag what affects our clients Help prepare client proposals and reports as needed Join client and carrier calls, taking on more as you ramp up Requirements Intermediate Excel: pivot tables, XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and cleaning up messy data Curiosity about numbers. When a result looks off, you want to know why. Accuracy and patience with detailed, high-volume data work A basic understanding of how parcel shipping is priced: zones, dimensional weight, surcharges and discounts. You don't need to have worked with them yet. Able to explain what you found clearly and briefly Interest in carrier negotiation as a career path Discretion with confidential client and carrier information Preferred Qualifications An internship, job or coursework in logistics, supply chain or transportation Experience working with shipping, invoice or carrier data Experience using AI tools like Claude to speed up data work, and checking the results Growth & Compensation $50,000–$60,000 base, based on experience Performance incentives tied to individual and team results Benefits A path to the Carrier Relations Negotiator role Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Work Location: Remote
