Cargo Inspector

Job Summary We are actively seeking a detail-oriented and vigilant Cargo Inspector to join our logistics and quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, accuracy, and compliance of cargo shipments throughout the inspection process. Your keen eye for detail and strong understanding of quality standards will help maintain the integrity of our cargo operations, prevent discrepancies, and uphold regulatory requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic supply chain environment where precision and adherence to quality are paramount. Credentials/Minimum Requirements It is required to have both a valid driver's license and a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) in-hand. Loading facility(ies) cannot accept copies or receipts for original documents. There is no exception to this requirement. Reliable transportation is also required to/from job site. You must also have a cell phone with data in order to log your time on a daily basis. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of cargo containers, packages, and shipments to verify contents against shipping documentation. Basic math skills are required. Interpret manufacturing and shipping documents, including manifests and packing lists, to ensure shipment accuracy. Perform quality audits on cargo handling processes, recording data accurately for analysis and reporting purposes. Identify non-conformity or deviations from quality standards in accordance with regulatory/legal standards in production; escalate issues promptly.
