Position Overview The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering cannabis orders while providing a friendly and professional customer experience. Drivers typically complete up to 50 deliveries per day and assist with order preparation, routing, cash handling, and required delivery documentation. This position requires someone who is dependable, organized, comfortable working independently, and able to manage multiple tasks throughout the day. This position is based exclusively at our Cotati location. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely and efficiently deliver customer orders using company vehicles while following all traffic laws, company policies, and applicable cannabis regulations. Provide friendly, professional customer service in person and over the phone, ensuring orders are accurate and customers have a positive delivery experience. Assist with order preparation, packing, routing, and verifying order accuracy before delivery. Maintain accurate route manifests, delivery paperwork, required signatures, cash transactions, and till totals throughout the shift. Safely handle and account for cash, cannabis products, and other company property. Communicate delays, route changes, customer concerns, order discrepancies, or other delivery issues to the appropriate team members or management and assist with resolving issues as needed. Answer phones and assist with placing customer orders when needed. Keep company vehicles and shared work areas clean, organized, and properly maintained. Maintain a safe driving record and remain aware of surroundings while operating company vehicles. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing business needs, policies, laws, and regulations, and assist with other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old and able to successfully complete the required City of Cotati Live Scan background check. Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a DMV driving record check. Customer service experience required; delivery driving and cannabis industry experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Comfortable handling cash, technology, customer orders, and required delivery documentation. Able to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team. Able to adapt to changing routes, priorities, business needs, and cannabis regulations. Comfortable using computers and mobile technology; familiarity with California cannabis track-and-trace systems is a plus. Available to work weekends and additional hours or holidays as needed. Driving Requirements This position requires regular operation of a company vehicle. Employees must maintain a valid California driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and eligibility to operate a company vehicle throughout employment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Ability to drive, sit, and stand for extended periods. Ability to maintain focus while driving and completing deliveries. Ability to frequently enter and exit a vehicle, walk short distances, and safely navigate delivery locations throughout the shift.
