Buyer/Planner

We value accuracy, reliability, teamwork, and strong supplier partnerships. The Role We’re looking for an organized, analytical Buyer/Planner to keep materials flowing and orders shipping on time. You’ll plan and purchase the products and components we need, manage supplier relationships, and balance inventory so we have what customers need without carrying excess stock. You’ll work closely with our sales, accounting, receiving, and warehouse teams. Our customers work in regulated settings, so accuracy and follow-through matter in every order. Training is provided, including on our systems and procedures. What You’ll Do Plan and purchase products, components, and supplies based on sales orders, forecasts, and inventory levels. Create purchase orders in QuickBooks and track, confirm, and expedite them to ensure on-time delivery. Maintain inventory levels that balance customer availability against carrying costs, including reorder points and safety stock. Build strong vendor relationships, negotiate pricing and lead times, and monitor supplier performance. Keep item and vendor data accurate, and work with accounting to resolve receiving and invoice discrepancies. Communicate product availability, shortages, and expected arrival dates to internal teams. Qualifications – Required 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, materials planning, inventory control, or supply chain. Experience creating and managing purchase orders in QuickBooks Enterprise. Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups. Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through on multiple priorities. Clear, professional communication and comfort negotiating with suppliers. Qualifications – Preferred Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Experience purchasing for pharmaceutical, laboratory, medical, or other regulated industries.
