PM Engineered SolutionsAbout Us PM Engineered Solutions (PMES) is a precision manufacturer of powder metal and molded plastic components, with about 60 employees at our Watertown facility. Our Plastics division molds thermoset and thermoplastic parts for industrial and commercial customers. The Role The Buyer/Planner keeps the Plastics division supplied and scheduled so we ship on time. You’ll own material planning, purchasing, production scheduling, and customer order management, working closely with the Plastics General Manager, the production floor, and our suppliers and customers. Responsibilities Run material planning in our ERP (Global Shop Solutions), turning customer demand into material requirements and purchase orders Purchase production materials and non-production supplies; negotiate pricing and lead times Manage supplier performance, including delivery, expediting, and resolution of material issues Build and maintain the production schedule for Plastics, adjusting with the General Manager as capacity or priorities change Review and enter customer orders, confirm delivery dates, and serve as the day-to-day contact for Plastics customers Maintain open-order and status reports for customers and internal teams Support month-end inventory and keep inventory levels accurate and lean Support routings and shop-floor data in Global Shop This list is not exhaustive. Qualifications Bachelors or Associates degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience. 3+ years as a buyer, planner, or production scheduler in a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience with an ERP/MRP system (Global Shop a plus) Strong Excel skills Organized, reliable, and comfortable juggling priorities in a fast-paced shop Clear, professional communication with customers and suppliers Molding or plastics experience a plus Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
