Our present investment is about 250 million US dollars in a green field site, which is at an advanced stage of construction. This is the first of three phases of investments planned at the same location. Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced buyer to lead procurement of maintenance spare parts, equipment & machinery, chemicals and consumables, services, etc. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, about 5+ years of experience in procurement of MRO items in chemical industries. Key Responsibilities: Oversight of all procurement activities : Plan, organize, and direct the activities related to procurement of MRO items, equipment, machinery, chemicals, consumables, services, etc. The job entails vendor evaluation & qualification, obtaining bids & approval for PO issuance and post order follow up / contract administration. Working knowledge of SAP is desirable. Familiarity with INCOTERMS and common trade practices, contract law is required. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) : Ensure compliance with all statutory HSE requirements and promote a safe working environment, achieve corporate objectives on EHS. Operational Excellence : Implement efficient work practices to optimize resources. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 15 years of progressive experience in procurement function in chemical plants. Strong knowledge of vendors for mechanical, electrical and instrument disciplines.
