Brown Point Facility Management Solutions is seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist for Federal Government opportunities with a background in federal government contracting, Department of Defense procurement, and RFP development. In this role, you will play a crucial part in crafting compelling proposals to the Federal Government that align with our mission of delivering tailored facility management solutions. Your contributions will directly impact on our ability to secure contracts and serve our clients effectively. This is a high volume, deadline driven role responsible for identifying federal contracting opportunities and helping manage opportunities through the full business development and proposal lifecycle. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing multiple RFPs and opportunities simultaneously, reviewing detailed solicitation requirements, developing competitive pricing, preparing compliant proposals, and working toward successful contract awards. A working understanding of the facility maintenance industry and skilled trades, particularly HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related building services, is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Identify and source new federal government and DOD contracting opportunities that align with Brown Point's capabilities and growth strategy. Monitor federal procurement opportunities and evaluate potential solicitations for fit, competitiveness, and feasibility. Perform detailed reviews of RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, PWS/SOW documents, amendments, attachments, and other solicitation materials. Identify all technical, administrative, pricing, submission, and compliance requirements associated with each opportunity. Manage multiple active RFPs and proposal deadlines simultaneously in a high-volume environment. Coordinate the proposal process from initial opportunity review through final submission. Develop clear, accurate, responsive, and compelling technical and business proposal content. Ensure proposals fully address solicitation requirements and remain compliant with applicable federal contracting requirements. Source subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and trade partners needed to develop complete service solutions. Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and specialized trade services. Build detailed pricing models and cost estimates designed to balance operational requirements, profitability, and competitive positioning. Analyze pricing strategically to develop competitive bids with the goal of maximizing contract award potential. Work closely with operations, management, vendors, subcontractors, and other internal stakeholders to develop complete solutions. Develop an understanding of the operational requirements associated with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance, and other facility related trades. Conduct market, competitor, contract, and pricing research to support business development decisions. Maintain organized records of opportunities, proposal requirements, pricing, subcontractor information, deadlines, and submissions. Maintain and improve proposal templates, past-performance information, capability information, and other reusable business development materials. Track opportunities throughout the procurement lifecycle and support follow-up activities after proposal submission. Assist with developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of federal government business opportunities. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in federal government business development, government procurement, proposal development, or federal contracting.
