Box Truck Owner-Operator – Temporary Assignment

Job Summary Must be available November 4, 5, and 6, 2026 - 7AM - 3PM (Savannah, GA) We are seeking a motivated and responsible Box Truck Owner-Operator for a temporary assignment to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will leverage your driving expertise and warehouse experience to efficiently transport goods using a box truck, ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to operate your personal vehicle while managing delivery routes, handling cargo, and adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck to pick up, transport, and deliver goods according to scheduled routes Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities Verify delivery accuracy, complete necessary documentation, and obtain signatures upon delivery completion Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform basic inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly Communicate effectively with dispatch teams using mobile devices to confirm routes and delivery updates Provide excellent customer service by addressing recipient questions professionally and ensuring a positive delivery experience Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or courier roles involving box trucks or vans Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic regulations, and safe lifting practices in warehouse operations Ability to manually handle heavy loads using manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks or material handling tools Familiarity with warehouse operations including load & unload procedures and material handling equipment operation Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is a plus Customer service-oriented mindset with clear communication skills via mobile devices or in person Ability to adhere strictly to DOT regulations, weight handling guidelines, and safety protocols during all tasks Join us in this energetic role where your driving skills and warehouse experience will make a tangible difference!
