Box Truck Owner Operator

FMD Distribution LLC – Maryland Terminal FMD Distribution LLC is looking for a reliable and professional Box Truck Owner-Operator to work out of our Maryland terminal. This is an independent contractor opportunity for an established owner-operator with their own box truck, active DOT number, and commercial insurance. FMD Distribution has been in business for over 25 years, providing transportation, warehousing, final-mile, and white-glove delivery services throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Position Overview The Owner-Operator will handle local and regional deliveries originating from our Maryland terminal. This is a great opportunity for an owner-operator looking for consistent, dedicated work with an established transportation company. Typical responsibilities include: Local and regional pickup and delivery Operating primarily throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas Loading, securing, transporting, and unloading freight Final-mile and commercial deliveries Maintaining accurate paperwork and electronic proof of delivery Taking delivery photos when required Communicating with FMD dispatch throughout the day Providing professional service at customer locations Maintaining clean, safe, and reliable equipment Following all FMD safety and customer-service procedures Requirements Applicants must have: Their own reliable box truck with a liftgate and e-track Valid/active DOT number Commercial auto insurance Valid driver's license Clean and safe driving history Ability to meet applicable DOT requirements Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills Ability to safely handle and secure freight Dependable communication and availability Experience with final-mile delivery, office equipment, appliances, commercial freight, LTL, or white-glove delivery is preferred.
