Duties Safely operate a box truck or van to transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks. Conduct pre-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition, following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, route schedules, and safety protocols during all driving activities. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups. Use mobile devices or GPS systems to navigate routes efficiently and update delivery statuses in real-time. Perform warehouse operations including material handling, loading/unloading cargo, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or commercial truck driving is highly preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations, manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices. Proven ability to operate box trucks or vans with manual transmission safely. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance standards. Experience using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or similar devices is advantageous. Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to manage route driving efficiently under time constraints.
