Box Truck Owner Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Owner Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods efficiently and on time, ensuring excellent customer service throughout every interaction. As an owner operator, you will manage your vehicle and schedule to meet delivery demands while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck for local or regional deliveries, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition for each route Manage delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices for navigation and communication, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries and addressing customer inquiries when necessary Load, secure, and unload freight with attention to weight handling guidelines, ensuring cargo safety during transit Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs Requirements Proven experience in commercial driving, delivery driving, or courier services involving box trucks or vans Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred but not mandatory depending on vehicle size Experience with warehouse operations, manual handling, and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices in line with workplace standards Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and weight handling in the workplace Strong organizational skills with the ability to adhere to scheduled routes and delivery deadlines Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively Join us as a Box Truck Owner Operator to enjoy a rewarding role that combines driving expertise with manual handling skills!
