Duties Safely operate box truck over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and route planning Transport various types of freight Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any maintenance needs promptly Document delivery details accurately, including load & unload records, delivery confirmations, and incident reports when necessary Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, OTR experience is a must Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for dangerous goods Excellent route driving skills with proficiency in GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery planning Ability to manually handle cargo safely during load & unload activities while maintaining proper truck loading and unloading procedures Skilled in logistics cargo handling with attention to detail for securement and compliance requirements Good communication skills to coordinate deliveries with dispatch teams and clients effectively Embark on a rewarding journey with us where safety meets efficiency!
