Box Truck Driver

Overview Join our team driving a 26' Penske box truck (Chauffeurs License required, CDL-B preferred) to deliver packaging materials to customer facilities. The driver is expected to help load the truck in the morning and to know how to use a pallet jack when making customer deliveries. The driver will help unload when they arrive at the customer facilities and is expected to dress neatly and behave professionally when interacting with customers. Responsibilities Safely operate box truck Load and unload cargo efficiently using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of freight including fragile or specialized items Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety regulations Follow planned routes diligently while adapting to traffic conditions to meet delivery schedules Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Assist with securing loads properly for transport to prevent shifting or damage during transit Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery times and resolve any issues promptly Qualifications Valid chauffeurs or commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record Experience operating 26'+ trucks in a variety of seasonal and traffic conditions Familiarity with load & unload procedures and freight handling techniques Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts when required for loading or unloading freight Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety regulations governing commercial trucking Prior delivery driver experience is highly desirable Strong physical stamina for loading/unloading cargo and performing vehicle inspections Embark on a rewarding career that combines skilled driving with hands-on freight handling!
