We are growing and are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our in-house finance team. This role is ideal for someone who can handle complex, intercompany transactions, take responsibility for the A/P and A/R functions, and work within a multi-disciplinary team. This position is being offered to fill a planned vacancy as our existing bookkeeper prepares for retirement over the next several months. Our existing bookkeeper will provide hands on training and remain part time to offer further support. Direct Report: Accounting Manager Job Details and Compensation Job Type: Full Time in-office Location: 330 Weber Street North, Waterloo, Ontario Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. Roles and Responsibilities · Maintain day to day financial records, entering financial data in NetSuite including expenses and cash receipts. · Maintain the full A/P cycle, organizing and matching packing slips, POs, invoices and payments. · Monitor the accounting inbox and front desk, replying to inquiries from customers, suppliers and internal team members. · Perform account reconciliations for import/export functions, intercompany accounts and others as needed. · Put together financial data and reports for management as required for reporting and analysis purposes. · Perform office administration duties such as managing office supplies and equipment, preparing mail and making cheque runs. · Manage account collections, monitoring the accounts receivable and customer deposit register, and following up with customers and facilitating payment. Experience Requirements 5+ years experience working in a bookkeeping role. Diploma in accounting, business, or a related field. Strong understanding of accounting concepts and ability to make judgement calls regarding correct treatment without direct oversight. Excel skills and confidence working in ERP systems. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across a high volume of transactions. Ability to identify, recommend and implement process improvements. Clear communicator who works effectively across departments. NetSuite experience is a strong asset. Work experience with intercompany transactions is an asset.
