The Wheel Group is hiring a Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations, guide team members, and ensure orders are processed accurately, safely, and on time. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who isn't afraid to jump in and work alongside the team. From receiving and inventory to picking, packing, and shipping, you'll help keep the operation running smoothly while setting the pace for productivity, accuracy, and safety. We're looking for someone who is bilingual (English/Spanish), comfortable working with computers and warehouse management systems, and confident leading from the floor. WHAT YOU'LL TAKE THE LEAD ON As a Warehouse Lead, you'll work alongside the team while helping keep daily operations safe, organized, accurate, and moving on schedule. Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management. Analyze incoming and outgoing orders to determine the most efficient methods for organizing shipments and unloading products in accordance with Distribution Center Standard Operating Procedures. Operate forklifts and material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, order pickers, electric stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and reach trucks, with required certifications as applicable. Use RF scanners to perform inventory transactions, track product movement, and maintain accurate warehouse records. Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Verify inventory movements, bin locations, and order completion using warehouse systems. Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards. Computer Systems & Administrative Responsibilities Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to process inventory transactions, movement requests, and order updates. Use Microsoft Office and other computer applications to support daily warehouse operations. Track and schedule shipments, maintain accurate documentation, and provide Proof of Delivery (POD) when requested. Identify and report inventory discrepancies, shipment delays, equipment issues, and operational concerns. Maintain accurate records and ensure information is entered correctly and on time. Support management with warehouse reporting, process improvements, and operational initiatives. Team Leadership & Communication Provide daily direction and guidance to warehouse associates to ensure productivity and accuracy. Lead by example by actively participating in warehouse operations. Coach, train, and motivate employees to follow safety procedures and meet operational expectations. Communicate effectively with team members and management in both English and Spanish. Help identify workflow challenges and recommend improvements. Escalate employee performance, attendance, or behavioral concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor. Reinforce company policies, procedures, and operational standards. Assist management with implementing warehouse initiatives, process improvements, and cost-saving opportunities.
