Belly Dump Driver

We are looking for a belly dump driver to join our team! You'll be responsible for safely operating a truck & trailer unit while delivering aggregate loads to customers. We haul in the Lubbock region. Home every evening. Monday-Friday, sometimes Saturday. Driver pay is based on a percentage of truck earnings, averaging $18-25/HR. Driver will be 1099 Responsibilities: · Operate truck/trailer in a safe & professional manner at all times · Daily pre & post trip inspections – complete DVIR if needed · Properly track and document short haul log · Monitor vehicle during operation & report any issues or incidents · Inspect the truck before & after trips · Report to truck yard on time (start time varies) · Pick up & deliver aggregate materials from pits or job sites using dispatch information & GPS · Knowledge of single & multi rear-axle trucks, including laws, regulations & operation of vehicles · Must be able to maneuver & control the truck safely & effectively · Must be able to secure loads during transportation & delivery · Ability to work in inclement weather while performing tasks · General cleaning & maintenance of the truck · Ability to report & receive directions via radio or cell phone Qualifications: · Previous belly dump experience · Must have & maintain a class A commercial driver's license · Must be willing to do basic labor · Must have own reliable form of transportation · Strong work ethic · Must be safety minded & have own PPE & hand tools · Must pass a drug & alcohol test · A clean driving record is preferred · Solid understanding of truck driving rules & regulations · Ability to work independently · Quick decision-making skills · Hardworking and trustworthy individual · Good time management skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Experience: Belly Dump: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: CDL A (Required) Work Location: On the road
