Beer Retail Stocker & Cashier

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Beer Stocker / Cashier to join our liquor store team. This position focuses on keeping our beer department fully stocked, organized, and ready for customers, while assisting with checkout and online orders. This role is ideal for someone with retail, liquor store, bar, restaurant, warehouse, or stocking experience who enjoys staying active and working in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with domestic, imported, and craft beer is a plus. Responsibilities Stock and organize beer in coolers, refrigerators, shelves, racks, and displays. Receive beer deliveries, verify quantities against invoices, and report shortages or damaged products. Move cases and inventory safely using hand jacks, carts, and other equipment. Rotate beer inventory by product dates to maintain freshness and report expired or damaged products. Keep popular beer brands, package sizes, and seasonal selections fully stocked. Maintain accurate shelf labels and pricing for singles, multipacks, and cases. Keep beer coolers, storage areas, and sales displays clean, organized, and free of hazards. Assist customers with finding beer brands, styles, package sizes, and available selections. Prepare online orders from the store website, Uber Eats, and DoorDash, ensuring the correct product, size, and quantity. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Scan, bag, and handle purchases with care. Maintain an organized checkout area and monitor cash drawer needs. Follow store policies for identification checks, alcohol sales, and workplace safety. Assist with other stocking, cashier, and store support duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old. 1–2 years of experience in retail, liquor stores, bars, restaurants, warehouses, or stocking preferred. Knowledge of beer brands, styles, and packaging is a plus; willingness to learn is essential. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English instructions. Professional customer service and strong communication skills. Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to lift and carry beer cases weighing up to 50 lbs and safely move heavier loads using appropriate equipment. Comfortable working regularly in refrigerated beer coolers. Experience with receiving deliveries, inventory rotation, or inventory counts is a plus. Familiarity with iPads or tablets for checking inventory and processing online orders preferred. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy retail environment. Must be dependable, honest, organized, and attentive to detail. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be authorized to work in the United States. A background check and pre-employment screening may be required, as permitted by law. Work Environment This is an active retail position involving frequent movement, lifting beer cases, stocking refrigerated areas, organizing inventory, assisting customers, and supporting checkout.
