AZ Truck Driver Dedicated run afternoons

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently from Essex to Barrie and back each afternoon. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. This dedicated run starts at 1:30 pm daily in Essex, Ontario and runs to Barrie, Ontario and back, Monday to Friday, about 13 hours per day. Duties Operate trucks to transport freight in a safe and timely manner. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Be able to identify defects and contact proper repair facilities as needed while on the road. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. At least one year of AZ driving experience A clean driving record. Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform minor automotive repairs. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road.
