Overview Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Parts Manager, where you will lead the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories. This role is vital in ensuring seamless operations across supply chain, logistics, and customer service functions. You will oversee parts sourcing, supplier relationships, inventory control, and internal communication to optimize efficiency and meet the needs of our automotive service and repair operations. Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end procurement process for automotive parts, accessories, and OEM components, ensuring timely sourcing and competitive pricing. Oversee inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and improve parts availability. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through negotiation, supplier management experience, and performance evaluations to secure quality parts at favorable terms. Coordinate logistics including shipping & receiving, warehouse management, and shipping schedules to ensure efficient flow of parts within the supply chain. Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge and vehicle systems understanding to assist in parts sourcing decisions and troubleshooting issues. Implement demand planning strategies using ERP systems and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to forecast needs accurately. Conduct regular inventory audits, parts administration tasks, and data entry to ensure accuracy in inventory control records. Collaborate with internal teams on parts sourcing strategies, pricing negotiations, and procurement management to support automotive service operations. Maintain internal communication channels for seamless coordination across departments such as sales, auto body repair, and equipment repair teams. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics inventory management and procurement processes. Experience Proven experience in supply management within the automotive industry or manufacturing environment. Strong background in supplier management with a track record of successful negotiation and sourcing strategies. Hands-on knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, OEM parts specifications, and auto body repair processes. Familiarity with warehouse management practices including shipping & receiving procedures and inventory control systems such as AS400 or inventory management software. Experience working with ERP systems like SAP or similar platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and data analysis. Knowledge of procurement management principles including demand planning, pricing strategies, sourcing methods, and Parts administration. Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts safely; relevant certifications are a plus. Mechanical aptitude combined with strong internal communication skills to coordinate effectively across teams.
