Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues. Complete required repair-order and parts-usage documentation. Respond to road calls as needed. Own and maintain the hand tools required for the role. Follow direction from the shop foreman or other supervisor. Requirements Education: High school diploma, trade school credential, or equivalent. Experience: Three or more years of training or experience in automotive, truck, or bus repair (dealership experience preferred). Licenses & Certifications: Valid [State] driver’s license, ability to obtain a DOT medical card, current CDL or eligibility to obtain one, and current ASE certifications or willingness to work toward them. Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, and a self-starter with the ability to work independently. Physical Demands Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds occasionally. Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, twist, stand, walk, and work in and around vehicles for extended periods. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment safely.
