We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer / Controls Engineer to support weekend operations in a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ASRS, AGV, Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and automated packaging systems, along with knowledge of cGMP, commissioning, qualification, validation, and system troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and troubleshoot ASRS, AGV, PLC, HMI/SCADA, and automated packaging systems.
• Support Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, RSView, PanelView, and industrial automation systems.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive solutions to minimize downtime.
• Support equipment commissioning, qualification, validation (CQV), and computerized system validation (CSV).
• Execute preventive maintenance, functional testing, and automation system verification.
• Maintain GMP documentation and ensure compliance with ALCOA+ data integrity principles.
• Troubleshoot industrial controls, instrumentation, electrical systems, and OT networks.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, IT/OT, Packaging, Maintenance, and external vendors.
• Support system upgrades, reliability improvements, and automation lifecycle activities.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on Automation/Controls Engineering experience in a GxP/cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ASRS and AGV systems.
• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs, HMI/SCADA, RSView, and PanelView.
• Understanding of industrial controls, instrumentation, electrical systems, and industrial networks.
• Experience with CQV, CSV, GMP documentation, and data integrity requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be available to work weekends, following a 40-hour schedule from Thursday or Friday through Sunday.
