Giant Auto salvageJob Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Parts Yard Cleaning and Inventory Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized auto parts yard while managing inventory accuracy and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will help optimize the storage environment, facilitate efficient parts handling, and uphold safety standards across the facility. Responsibilities Perform regular cleaning, sweeping, and debris removal throughout the auto parts yard to maintain a safe, tidy environment. Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, and cranes to load, unload, and organize inventory safely and efficiently. Manage inventory control processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to track stock levels accurately. Assist with stock stocking, picking & packing orders, shipping & receiving tasks, ensuring timely order fulfillment. Load and unload materials using pallet jacks, manual handling techniques, and other material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections of storage areas for safety compliance and proper organization; report any hazards or discrepancies immediately. Support warehouse operations by participating in inventory audits, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse management roles with a focus on inventory control and materials handling. Valid certification in operating reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, cranes, or other heavy equipment preferred. Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper technique. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and recording inventory data accurately. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory management software is highly desirable. Prior experience as a warehouse supervisor or in logistics is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
