For our client, we are seeking a Associate Director, Global Trade Compliance to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. In this role, you will lead the strategy and governance for global trade compliance across import and export activities. You will partner closely with Legal, Tax, Finance, supply chain, and operational teams to strengthen controls, support compliant cross-border movement of goods, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and trade optimization. The position will also play a key role in managing regulatory risk, customs relationships, and the scaling of a global compliance program. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $165,495 – $214,170 annually Responsibilities Define and execute global trade compliance strategy aligned with corporate objectives Establish policies and governance frameworks for import/export compliance Oversee compliant execution of import/export activities and ensure robust customs controls Lead trade compliance risk assessments and establish internal control frameworks Serve as primary contact with customs authorities and manage export licenses Identify trade optimization opportunities and align with tax strategies Drive standardization of trade compliance processes and enhance reporting capabilities Qualifications BA with 10+ years or MA/MS with 8+ years of experience in global trade compliance in pharmaceutical or biotech industries Deep expertise in import/export regulations and customs compliance Strong understanding of supply chain and financial flows Demonstrated experience collaborating with Legal, Tax, and Finance Experience building and scaling global compliance programs Benefits Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans Opportunity for a discretionary annual bonus and stock-based incentives Paid time off Employee participation in benefit plans according to applicable terms and conditions Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
