About the Opportunity We're looking for a hands-on Assistant Warehouse Manager to help lead the daily operations of our Ohio distribution facility. This position will work closely with the Warehouse Manager as a key leader of the Ohio operation, helping oversee employees, coordinate receiving and shipping, maintain inventory accuracy, promote a safe workplace, and keep daily warehouse operations running efficiently. This is a working leadership position. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading employees while also stepping onto the warehouse floor, operating a forklift, solving problems, and helping wherever needed. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will serve as the Warehouse Manager's second-in-command and should be capable of independently leading the warehouse when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable. What You'll Do Assist the Warehouse Manager with day-to-day warehouse operations. Help supervise, train, coach, and hold warehouse employees accountable for safety, productivity, attendance, accuracy, and company standards. Coordinate receiving, put-away, picking, staging, loading, and shipping activities. Help prioritize daily workloads and ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time. Monitor inventory movement and help maintain inventory accuracy. Ensure receiving, shipping, inventory movements, and related system transactions are completed accurately and timely. Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when needed. Assist with forklift training, inspections, and warehouse safety practices. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment. Help identify and resolve shipping, receiving, inventory, and operational issues. Assist with employee scheduling, attendance, performance, and training. Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Support inventory counts and cycle-counting activities. Help establish and maintain effective warehouse processes, workflows, and operating standards. Monitor daily warehouse performance and help identify opportunities to improve productivity, accuracy, safety, organization, and workflow. Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, and other departments. Assist with facility and equipment needs, including coordinating maintenance when necessary. Serve as the primary warehouse leader when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable. Perform other warehouse and operational duties as needed. What We're Looking For 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or related experience. Previous experience leading or supervising warehouse employees required. Strong forklift experience; forklift certification or trainer experience is a plus. Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations. Ability to lead employees while maintaining a hands-on approach. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
