Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary Join our dynamic retail team as an Assistant Store Manager, where you will play a vital role in driving store success through effective leadership, exceptional customer service, and operational excellence. Duties Assist in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently. Lead and motivate the retail sales team to meet and exceed sales targets through coaching and training. Manage inventory control, including stock replenishment, merchandising, and ordering to optimize product availability. Supervise cashiering functions such as POS (Point of Sale) transactions, cash handling, and pricing accuracy. Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees. Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues professionally. Maintain organized records of payroll, bookkeeping, sales data, and operational reports to support store management. Skills Strong management skills with proven supervisory experience in retail or related industries. Excellent communication skills, including managerial communication and phone etiquette. Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for retail math calculations. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, purchasing, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability. Experience in employee orientation, training & development to foster a motivated team environment. Knowledge of retail industry sales techniques, merchandising, stock management, and operational procedures. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during shift management and multitasking scenarios. Familiarity with grocery store or wireless sales environments is advantageous but not required.
