Assistant Store Manager Job Summary The Assistant Store Manager plays a vital role in supporting the overall operations of the retail store. The Assistant Store Manager assists in driving retail sales, managing staff, and ensuring the store meets its operational goals. Duties Support the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Assist in managing retail sales by engaging with customers, promoting products, and achieving sales targets. Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of store products to assist customers effectively and provide product recommendations. Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, stock counts, and organization to ensure product availability. Supervise and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to company policies. Assist in visual merchandising and ensuring the store maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. Support training new staff members and provide ongoing coaching to team members. Skills Proven experience in retail sales and customer service roles. Strong familiarity with POS systems for transaction processing. Excellent product knowledge within a retail environment. Effective inventory management skills with attention to detail. Leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and supervise team members. Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and staff.
