Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals and deliver excellent customer service. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction and fostering loyalty. Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new employees. Maintain accurate cash handling, POS transactions, payroll processing, and bookkeeping records. Implement marketing strategies and promotional displays to boost store visibility and sales performance. Skills Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising responsibilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus. Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math calculations. Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques. Ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately and perform bookkeeping tasks efficiently. Exceptional organizational skills with time management expertise to prioritize tasks effectively. Experience in employee orientation, training & development, and implementing store policies. Knowledge of merchandising, stock control, marketing initiatives, and retail sales strategies. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, perform retail math calculations, and oversee shift management.
