ConfidentialJob Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our retail team. In this pivotal role, you will support the store management team in overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will lead by example, motivate staff, and maintain a positive shopping environment. Your organizational skills and leadership abilities will help streamline processes, manage inventory, and uphold company standards to deliver an outstanding retail experience for our customers and team members alike. Responsibilities Assist the store manager in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures. Lead and motivate sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service. Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising, and stock control to optimize product availability. Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Manage cashiering functions including POS (Point of Sale) systems, cash handling, and pricing accuracy. Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing, employee orientation, training & development initiatives. Maintain operational standards such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and compliance with company policies. Skills Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and communicate managerial expectations clearly. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for sales transactions and stock calculations. Exceptional customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and professional communication abilities. Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales management, and operational metrics. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
