What You'll Do As an Assistant General Manager, Distribution Center, you will play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence across a high-volume supply chain facility. You will lead teams, optimize performance, and ensure the safe, efficient movement of products that support millions of customers and members. Key Responsibilities Drive Operational Excellence Lead daily distribution center operations to achieve goals related to productivity, quality, safety, service, and cost. Execute business plans and implement operational strategies that support facility and company objectives. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive process enhancements across the operation. Monitor performance metrics and leverage data to improve efficiency and business results. Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to managers, supervisors, and associates. Set clear expectations, communicate goals, and hold teams accountable for results. Recruit, develop, and retain top talent while creating opportunities for professional growth and advancement. Foster an inclusive culture where associates feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed. Manage Workforce Planning and Execution Forecast staffing needs and align workforce resources to meet business demands. Monitor workload distribution and operational performance to ensure service level expectations are achieved. Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives throughout the facility. Ensure Safety, Quality, and Compliance Champion a culture of safety and operational excellence across the facility. Ensure compliance with company policies, logistics standards, and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain operational procedures and supporting documentation. Investigate and resolve operational, associate, customer, and supplier concerns in a timely manner. Financial and Business Management Manage operating expenses and monitor financial performance against budget goals. Optimize asset utilization and resource allocation to maximize efficiency. Review and analyze business reports to identify trends and drive informed decision-making. Build Relationships and Community Impact Partner with associates, suppliers, customers, and business stakeholders to achieve shared objectives. Serve as a company ambassador by supporting community organizations, charitable initiatives, and company-sponsored events. Build strong relationships that strengthen Walmart's presence in the communities we serve. What You'll Bring Leadership Experience leading large teams in a distribution, manufacturing, transportation, fulfillment, or supply chain environment. Proven ability to develop talent, build high-performing teams, and drive engagement. Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
