Assistant Convenience Store Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Convenience Store Manager to support the daily operations of our retail location. This role involves overseeing staff, managing inventory, ensuring excellent customer service, and assisting with store management duties. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management processes to ensure smooth store functioning and growth. Duties Assist in supervising daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and purchasing to optimize product availability Oversee cashiering activities, including cash handling, POS transactions, and balancing registers Support employee orientation, training, and development to foster a productive team environment Implement merchandising strategies and ensure proper store presentation aligned with branding standards Monitor sales performance and assist in sales management initiatives to meet store targets Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction levels Ensure compliance with safety policies, store policies, and regulatory requirements Experience Previous management experience in retail or grocery stores is preferred, especially in convenience or similar environments Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams and managing store operations Strong background in retail math, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures Proven ability in employee recruitment, training & development, and team management This position offers an opportunity for a motivated individual to lead a dynamic team while ensuring the efficient operation of our convenience store.
