Appliance Delivery Installer (AW)

Job Summary Laundry Connection is seeking a dependable, customer-focused, and technically capable Appliance Delivery Installer to assist with delivering, positioning, installing, and testing household and commercial appliances. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safe handling and professional customer service. In this role, you will transport appliances to designated locations, assist with installation according to manufacturer guidelines, verify basic functionality, and explain appropriate operating procedures to customers. You will also help maintain delivery records, protect customer property, and ensure that each job is completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Load, transport, unload, and deliver appliances to customer homes or business locations. Inspect appliances and delivery items for visible damage before and after transportation. Position appliances in designated areas while taking care to protect floors, walls, and surrounding property. Install appliances according to manufacturer instructions and approved company procedures. Connect compatible appliances to existing approved utilities when qualified and authorized. Level appliances, secure components, and perform basic installation adjustments as needed. Test installed appliances to confirm basic functionality and identify visible operational issues. Explain basic appliance operation, care, and maintenance to customers. Communicate delivery schedules, arrival times, and installation updates professionally. Obtain required delivery confirmations, customer signatures, and service documentation. Report damaged products, missing parts, installation complications, or equipment problems to supervisors. Maintain delivery vehicles, tools, and installation equipment in safe and organized condition. Follow safe lifting techniques and use appropriate moving equipment to prevent injuries and property damage. Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and other team members to complete assigned jobs. Follow applicable transportation, workplace safety, and installation requirements. Perform additional delivery, installation, and customer support duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in appliance delivery, installation, moving services, or a related field is an advantage. Practical mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn installation procedures. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to follow manufacturer instructions and company safety procedures. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record if driving is required. Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver appliances with appropriate equipment and assistance. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to use common hand tools and installation equipment safely. Dependable, punctual, organized, and professional work habits. Ability to complete delivery records and communicate job status accurately. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, when required. Appropriate training, qualifications, and authorization for any specialized electrical, plumbing, or utility connections. Work Environment This position involves driving between customer locations, handling heavy or bulky appliances, and performing delivery and installation tasks in residential or commercial settings. The role may require frequent lifting, bending, standing, and working in confined spaces. Employees must use proper lifting techniques, appropriate protective equipment, and approved procedures when handling appliances and installation tools.
