Air & Ocean Import Coordinator | Cerritos, California | Salary up to $60,000 The Air & Ocean Import Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating import shipments from start to finish across both air and ocean freight. You will manage documentation, customs coordination, shipment tracking, delivery arrangements, and customer communication while ensuring shipments move efficiently and accurately. Stable, long-term career opportunity. Professional and collaborative working environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate Air & Ocean import shipments from arrival through final delivery. Handle import documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, arrival notices and delivery orders. Coordinate with steamship lines, airlines, customs brokers, truckers and overseas agents. Track shipments and provide customers with timely updates on shipment status. Review documentation for accuracy and ensure all required information is available for customs clearance. Assist with ISF, customs clearance and import compliance requirements. Arrange deliveries and coordinate with warehouses, CFS facilities and transportation providers. Enter and maintain shipment information within the company's operating system. Communicate effectively with customers, overseas offices and vendors to resolve shipment issues. Monitor shipment milestones, costs and delivery schedules. Provide a high level of customer service while ensuring operational accuracy. Requirements 2+ years of U.S. freight forwarding experience, ideally with Air & Ocean Import. Strong understanding of the international import process. Experience handling import documentation and shipment coordination. Knowledge of U.S. Customs and import procedures. Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with freight forwarding software such as CargoWise is preferred.
