The Role We’re looking for an experienced Air Import Specialist to join our Edison, NJ team. The job is fast-paced and comes with a lot of responsibility. It suits someone who likes to stay organized, keep shipments moving and give clients excellent service. What You’ll Do Receive pre-alerts, open files, issue arrival notices and notify clients Track shipments to make sure they arrive and are delivered to their destination Keep clients and origin/destination offices updated on shipment status, special handling and the delivery process Keep track-and-trace updated and maintain client reports Build and maintain good relationships with agents and vendors Make sure files are organized, billed, complete and closed on time Make sure vendor and agent invoices are turned in for processing Complete the monthly closing of shipments and reports Support and contribute to a team environment Take on other duties as assigned What We’re Looking For +2 years of air import operations experience; 3 years preferred Experience in a high-volume, transactional environment Strong computer skills, including MS Outlook, Excel and Word CargoWise experience strongly preferred; we can offer additional pay to qualified applicants You’ll Thrive Here If You Are Highly organized, with strong logical and problem-solving skills Very detail-oriented, and able to act quickly and fix problems when they come up Able to multitask, stay flexible and perform under pressure Skilled at building strong relationships with management, co-workers, suppliers and clients Reliable, self-motivated and proactive, always looking ahead to prepare for upcoming tasks Aligned with ALPI’s values: a team player who is passionate, professional, committed and honest, and who treats people with dignity and respect What We Offer Competitive salary, based on experience 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person at 117 Sunfield Ave, Edison, NJ 08837 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Ready to join us?
