Air Freight Pricing Specialist

As we expand our Canadian operations in Vancouver, we are looking for an Air Freight Pricing Specialist to join our team and support the development of our air freight business in Canada. This position is well suited to someone who understands international air freight pricing, enjoys working with airlines and overseas agents, and can respond to customer and sales inquiries accurately and quickly. Key Responsibilities Prepare competitive air freight quotations for import and export shipments. Obtain and negotiate rates with airlines, consolidators, overseas agents and other service providers. Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to understand customer requirements and develop appropriate routing and pricing solutions. Handle regular, spot and project-based RFQs. Compare carrier options based on price, routing, transit time, capacity and service reliability. Maintain current air freight rate sheets and pricing information. Develop relationships with airlines, GSAs, consolidators and international agents. Coordinate pricing for shipments involving multiple 166 Global offices and overseas partners. Calculate freight, handling, screening, security, trucking and other applicable charges. Monitor market rates, capacity and relevant air freight developments. Follow up on quotations and support Sales in converting opportunities into shipments. Maintain accurate quotation and pricing records. Support management with pricing and shipment analysis when required. Qualifications & Skills 1–3 years of experience in international freight forwarding, air freight pricing, operations or a related logistics role preferred. Understanding of international air freight import and export processes. Knowledge of airline pricing, chargeable weight, routing and common air freight surcharges. Experience working with airlines, GSAs, consolidators or overseas agents is an asset. Strong Excel, Outlook and general Microsoft Office skills. Strong numerical and analytical ability. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple RFQs and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. English required; additional languages are an asset.
