Air Cargo Operations Agent (Office)

**Company:** Tolead Logistics Inc. **Location:** Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) Area, Illinois **Job Type:** Full-Time **Department:** Air Cargo Operations **Compensation:** $20.5–$25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications ### Position Summary Tolead Logistics is seeking experienced Air Cargo Operations Agents to support our growing air cargo operations in the ORD area. We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience in airline cargo terminals, ground handling operations, or air freight forwarding. **Candidates with previous airline cargo terminal experience, export cargo acceptance experience, or familiarity with Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF) operations will be given strong preference.** The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, familiar with air cargo documentation and operational procedures, and comfortable working in a fast-paced cargo handling environment. ### Key Responsibilities - Handle daily air cargo office operations, including import and export shipment processing. - Receive, review, and verify air cargo documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, manifests, and other required shipping documents. - Perform export cargo acceptance procedures, including documentation review, shipment verification, and system processing. - Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, truck drivers, warehouse teams, and other business partners. - Monitor shipment status, resolve documentation discrepancies, and follow up on operational issues. - Enter, update, and maintain accurate shipment information in cargo management systems. - Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure smooth cargo acceptance, handling, and release. - Maintain accurate operational records and shipment documentation. - Follow applicable TSA, CBP, airport security, and company operational procedures. - Support other cargo office functions and operational tasks as needed. ### Qualifications **Required Qualifications** - Previous experience in air cargo operations, airline cargo terminals, ground handling, or air freight forwarding. - Working knowledge of air cargo documentation, including Air Waybills and shipment processing procedures. - Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. - Good English communication skills, both verbal and written. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications. - Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with warehouse and operations teams. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. **Preferred Qualifications** - Previous experience with an airline cargo terminal or Ground Handling Agent (GHA), such as AGI, WFS, Swissport, or a similar organization. - Hands-on experience with export cargo acceptance, including document verification and shipment processing. - Familiarity with Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF) operations and TSA cargo security requirements. - Experience using airline or cargo terminal management systems. - Knowledge of air cargo import/export procedures and CBP requirements. - Previous ORD airport experience or airport badging experience. - Ability to work flexible schedules, including different shifts, weekends, or holidays when required. ### What We Offer - Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. - Full-time employment with a growing international logistics company. - Opportunities for professional growth as our ORD air cargo operations expand. - A collaborative, operations-focused working environment. ### How to Apply Please submit your resume highlighting your experience in air cargo operations, particularly any airline cargo terminal, export cargo acceptance, or CCSF-related experience.
