Air Cargo Handling Agent

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Air Cargo Handler to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will serve as the key point of contact between ground handling agents, the airline, our customer and operations management ensuring smooth coordination of cargo receiving, handling and preparing cargo for shipment. Your proactive approach will help maintain efficient warehouse distribution, uphold safety standards, and deliver exceptional customer service. Duties Act as the primary on-site liaison between ground handling agents, the airline, our customer and operations management Resolve immediate operational issues, providing updates on shipment status and resolving any issues related to cargo or delivery schedules Prepare and verify essential shipping paperwork including air waybills, bills of lading, manifests and invoices. Verify shipment contents against documentation and preparing cargo for dispatch or receipt Supervise inbound freight receiving process, check freight for physical damage, verify dimensions and weight Coordinate and perform cargo loading and unloading activities using heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks and ensure safe and efficient material handling Screen cargo to ensure compliance with TSA, FAA and airline regulations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all warehouse operations, including manual handling and heavy lifting procedures Operate warehouse equipment responsibly, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools in accordance with safety standards Experience Prior experience in air cargo handling is HIGHLY preferred Hands-on experience with cargo receiving, handling and Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment Strong understanding of warehouse operations including manual handling techniques and safety protocols Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately Previous roles involving warehouse responsibilities or leadership are a plus but not required Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to operational excellence!
