Key Responsibilities
• Manage air and ocean import shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines and hauliers.
• Arrange customs clearance and ensure all documentation is accurate.
• Track shipments and provide customers with regular updates.
• Coordinate collections and deliveries with transport providers.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve any shipment issues or delays.
• Prepare and check import documentation, including bills of lading and air waybills.
• Ensure shipments are processed in line with company procedures and customs regulations.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
Skills & Experience Required
• Previous experience in air and/or ocean imports within freight forwarding.
• Good understanding of import procedures and customs documentation.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and work to deadlines.
• Confident using freight forwarding systems and Microsoft Office.
• A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving.
