The Shipping & Inventory Specialist is responsible for supporting the supply plans, translating demand into creating orders to support production, including materials management of raw & pack, work in-process (WIP), excess, and obsolete inventory. The role is tasked with building and maintaining strong relationships within the organization, operations, sales and service to manage stock levels, supporting the schedule and production with operational efficiencies in standard and pre-build business situations. Help with preparation of purchase orders and agreements. Help with monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns. Understand and follow any quality system. ESSENTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Receive all incoming material.  Create purchase orders and track material  Accountable for maintaining the integrity of the information in the ERP system regarding products manufactured  Analyze, understand, and convert ERP messages to raw material purchase orders and plans to meet production / forecast demand  Work with suppliers for timely shipments  Production planning and detailed schedule coordination with the manufacturing department and third-party suppliers producing products  Identify, examine, accept, reject, and verify receipt of supplies and material  Warehouse and inventory management of materials; including inventory strategy, cycle count, and inventory accuracy  Material kitting and verification for production  Shelf-life management, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy  Barcoding and labeling of materials  Purchase manufacturing supply items  Ensure purchase orders are created and keep track of deliveries  Operate tools for quality inspection of incoming material  Cycle counting and inventory reconciliation (Monthly reporting of accuracy on hand inventory)  Receive data from and input data to automated systems in performance of receiving/shipping duties  Issuing materials to the production floor, utilizing FIFO (first in first out) and proper stock rotation  Creative thinking for problem solving in terms of vendors and products  Able to read blueprints or schematics for quality inspection  Preparing reports on inventory, receiving, and shipping  A good understanding of materials tracking for quality system compliance purposes  Keep stock at above safety-stock levels with a good understanding of minimum order quantity, production consumption and vendor lead times  Pack and ship finished product to meet customer needs and conform to customer, quality, and shipping regulations  Quote and arrange shipping  Utilize shipping software (UPS, FEDEX...)  Understand packaging specifications and package accordingly  Other duties, as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS:  Teamwork  Coordination  Organization  Planning  Time management  Experience in shipping/receiving needed Aerospace/AS9100  Good organizational skills  Ability to work well under pressure  Able to perform basic computer functions  Be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds  All other duties as required QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:  High School diploma, general education degree or equivalent  Possess basic math skills  Use Microsoft software and ERP systems  Ability to plan and prioritize your work  Ability to work accurately under a deadline  The ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift merchandise up to 50 pounds  The ability to read and understand information presented in a written format  Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date or previously held certification  Five (5) years of verifiable related employment experience or a combination of education and verifiable related employment experience required  Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma environment preferred  Experience and basic understanding of quality systems at the AS9100 level preferred  Ability to work in a team environment with knowledge of contract activities and processes associ…
