Accountant – Transportation Industry

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team within the transportation industry. Duties Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms for bookkeeping and financial management Conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly Support corporate finance activities including budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting Process payroll accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations Assist with auditing procedures by preparing documentation and supporting internal controls Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xpert accounting software Minimum 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes Prepare and file HST returns Experience in bookkeeping and account analysis within the transportation or logistics industry is highly desirable Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills Ability to adapt quickly to new accounting systems and procedures Knowledge of payroll processing and financial services regulations is a plus Join us in a role that combines energetic engagement with detailed precision!
