Appliance Delivery & Installation Team – Driver & Helper (26’ Box Truck) Company: D & J Transports LLC Job Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate a 26-foot box truck to deliver household appliances to residential customers. Work as a two-person team consisting of a driver and a delivery helper. Load, unload, move, and position appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, and dishwashers. Deliver appliances into customers’ homes and place them in designated locations. Perform basic appliance installation and setup as required, including connecting appliances when qualified. Remove packaging materials and maintain a clean, professional work area. Protect customers’ homes, floors, walls, and appliances from damage during delivery and installation. Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent customer service. Follow assigned delivery routes, schedules, and company procedures. Complete delivery paperwork, obtain customer signatures, and submit required documentation. Inspect the truck and equipment before and after routes and report any issues. Work together to lift and handle heavy appliances safely. Travel to delivery locations within the assigned service area, including out-of-state routes when required. Qualifications & Requirements Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for the driver position. Previous experience driving a 26-foot box truck is preferred. Appliance delivery, installation, moving, or furniture delivery experience is preferred OR willing to learn. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy appliances safely, with team assistance and proper equipment. Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of hand tools and appliance installation is a plus. Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills. Reliable, punctual, professional, and detail-oriented. Ability to follow directions and complete assigned routes efficiently. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus but not required. Must meet applicable background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record requirements, as applicable.
