About the Role The Laboratory Logistics Co-op will support a high-impact initiative focused on transforming how raw materials are stored, managed, and supplied across Haleon's Richmond site. The role is centered on implementing a new warehouse-based material management model, helping transition laboratory materials to centralized warehouse storage, and establishing new processes that improve efficiency, visibility, and organization across site operations. Working closely with laboratory, warehouse, and site operations teams, the co-op will gain hands-on experience in logistics, inventory management, GMP operations, process improvement, and data-driven decision making within a regulated manufacturing and R&D environment. Key Responsibilities Support the implementation of a new raw material storage and logistics model across the Richmond site. Assist with inventory management, material tracking, and movement of laboratory materials between labs and warehouse locations. Help develop and document standardized material management processes and ways of working. Analyze operational data and identify opportunities to improve logistics, efficiency, and workflow performance. Partner with laboratory, warehouse, and site operations teams to support logistics and continuous improvement initiatives. Present project findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Essential Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Reynolds Community College's Biotechnology Program, Brightpoint Community College's Biotechnology Program, or a science-related degree program. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications Biotechnology, laboratory, or science-related coursework. Eligibility and Program Requirements This internship requires working at the designated location. Candidates requiring relocation are responsible for arranging and funding their own housing, transportation, and relocation needs. Candidate must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday-Friday ~8am-5pm for 6 months. Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship in the future. Work authorization documentation will be required during the application process. The position is based in Richmond, requiring an in-office presence of 5 days per week.
