200-001 Materials Associate

Job Summary: The Associate Extrusion Operator is responsible to set up, clean, and operate an extruder and a variety of related equipment that are part of a plastic extrusion production line. They carefully follow safety and cleaning protocols, and ensure that product is made accurately, according to specifications, avoiding waste of time and resources. This is an entry-level position that performs duties with some oversight, direction and assistance, particularly when situations depart from the norm. HOURS FOR 2ND SHIFT ARE MONBDAY - THURSDAY, 4:30 PM - 2:30 AM. $2/HOUR SHIFT DIFF Job Requirements: Drives company Fork Lift between company locations, picking up or delivering product to facility buildings Maintains required paperwork Rotation of all receiving, and logistics program duties Conducts timely and accurate communication with internal customers via phone or e-mail Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records Packages units into correct boxes or containers Reads reports and pulls units for repair floor and other disposition Routes products to departments Operates forklift and uses hand jack to assist in loading or moving material and products from shipping and receiving platforms to storage or work areas Operates forklift to load and unload material from trucks. Maintain cleanliness. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred but not required Experience in manufacturing, industrial or warehouse settings preferred but not required Availability to occasionally work overtime and on Saturdays. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (including but not limited to lifting up to 55 pounds and moving up to 250 pounds, frequent overhead work, bend & squat & stoop, and climb stairs as well as standing and/or walking for long periods of time). Able to wear all Personal Protective Equipment for safety and environmental regulations. Strong communication and organizational skills. Successful candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and pre-employment background check. Operates forklift to load and unload material from trucks. Operates lift truck or uses handtruck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. You should be proficient in: Forklift Licensed Meets Physical Requirements Experience in a Manufacturing Environment Essential Duties: Follow written work instructions to extrude material per specifications, meeting production targets and quality requirements. Complete required paperwork and ensure process consistency. Keep work area organized and safe at all times. Comply with all EHS requirements. Additional duties as assigned, including housekeeping and assisting in other areas.
