Join FS Transportation as a 1st Shift Dispatcher and play a critical role in keeping freight moving across the Midwest every day. FS Transportation, LLC is a collaborative logistics company predominately shipping corrugated linerboard from Five Star Sheets, LLC to box manufacturers throughout the Midwest. Every day, FS Transportation coordinates 70-80 trailer loads across the Midwest, operating a fleet of 20 tractors and more than 170 trailers. Our dispatch team is at the heart of making those deliveries happen safely and on time. As the 1st shift dispatcher, you'll be the key connection between drivers, production teams, and customers. Your communications internally help ensure products are loaded correctly, deliveries arrive on time, and operations continue running smoothly around the clock. Your external communication provides the service our customers rely on in their own operations. Company Benefits Include: 10 paid holidays One-week vacation during your first year plus an additional week after your one-year anniversary Sign-on bonus Two medical and dental plan options each with family coverage available 401k retirement options with company match Company provided life insurance and short-term disability Three companywide family friendly events each year What You'll Do: Monitor outbound shipments and delivery schedules Coordinate with production teams to resolve shipping issues Ensure loads are dispatched accurately and on time Work with internal and external teams to communicate ETAs Verify shipping documentation Monitor Hours of Service (HOS) and ELD compliance Communicate with drivers and respond to changing conditions Qualifications: An associate’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or a related field also qualifies. Previous DOT experience is a plus, but on-the-job training is provided. This position requires strong computer skills, email management, communication, decision making, and critical thinking. A successful candidate can manage multiple priorities at once, while communicating effectively, and staying calm under pressure. Compensation: FS Transportation provides competitive wages with bonus and overtime opportunities, and an annual review for raises.
