Youth Transportation Driver

*THIS POSITION IS ONE DAY A WEEK = Must be available Saturdays this Fall & Winter* Tillie’s Touch is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Van Driver to provide transportation for youth participating in our soccer, academic, and mentoring programs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, is familiar with the Syracuse area, and can provide safe, reliable transportation to and from Tillie’s Touch programs and activities. Responsibilities Safely transport youth to and from Tillie’s Touch programs, practices, events, and other approved activities. Follow established routes, schedules, pickup/drop-off procedures, and youth transportation safety protocols. Maintain accurate transportation records, including attendance and pickup/drop-off information as required. Conduct basic pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and promptly report maintenance, safety, or vehicle concerns. Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment for youth while riding in the vehicle. Communicate promptly with Tillie’s Touch staff regarding delays, schedule changes, absences, emergencies, or transportation concerns. Ensure youth are released only according to established program procedures. Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and ready for safe transportation. Follow all Tillie’s Touch policies and applicable traffic and transportation laws. Qualifications Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Reliable, punctual, responsible, and comfortable transporting children and teens. Ability to safely operate the vehicle used by Tillie’s Touch. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and make responsible decisions when unexpected situations arise. Familiarity with Syracuse and surrounding neighborhoods preferred. Previous experience driving youth, working with children, or working in a school, recreation, nonprofit, or community setting is a plus. Must successfully complete all background checks, driver-record checks, and other screening or training required for the position before transporting youth. Must meet any applicable age, licensing, insurance, and vehicle requirements. *THIS POSITION IS ONE DAY A WEEK = Must be available Saturdays this Fall & Winter* Hours will be different each week - some Saturdays the team has one game, sometimes numerous games.
