Youth Transportation Driver — $20.00 per Hour

Location: North Haven, CT, with routes throughout the Greater New Haven area Schedule: Typical shifts are 6–10 a.m. and/or 1–5 p.m., depending on route assignments Company vehicles and training provided About the Opportunity LMS in partnership with Pathway Support Services, is hiring drivers on behalf of ATL (Advance Transportation Logics) , located in North Haven, CT. This is an opportunity to do meaningful work while earning $20.00 per hour . Our drivers provide safe, reliable transportation to and from school for children and youth involved with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) . A dependable ride and a caring adult can make a real difference in a child’s day, helping them stay connected to school, maintain routines, and feel supported. We are looking for responsible, patient, and compassionate individuals who understand that this role involves more than driving. It is about showing up consistently and helping children arrive safely and ready for their day. What You’ll Do Transport children and youth to and from school in a company-provided vehicle. Follow assigned routes and scheduled pickup and drop-off times. Ensure children are safely picked up and released to the appropriate school staff or authorized caregiver. Create a calm, welcoming environment and interact with children respectfully. Follow safety procedures, including proper use of seat belts and child restraints. Maintain appropriate supervision throughout each trip. Complete transportation logs and other required documentation accurately. Communicate delays, route changes, safety concerns, and incidents promptly to the appropriate supervisor. Protect the confidentiality of children and families. Participate in required orientation and training, including child safety, confidentiality, and mandated reporting. What We’re Looking For At least 21 years of age . A valid Connecticut driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings, including background checks, fingerprinting, and a physical examination . Reliability, punctuality, and clear communication skills. Patience, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm when challenges arise. A genuine interest in working with children and supporting families. Availability for morning shifts, afternoon shifts, or both, depending on route needs. A V endorsement is preferred but is not required to apply. Training will be provided. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required screenings and meeting applicable driver licensing and endorsement requirements before transporting children. Experience in transportation, childcare, education, direct support, or human services is helpful.
