Yard Worker

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Yard Worker to join our dynamic team! Responsibilities Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with order picking and inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels and timely fulfillment of shipments. Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently, following OSHA standards. Maintain a clean and organized yard area, ensuring all materials are stored properly and hazards are minimized. Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments with RF scanners and manual checks. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting to move materials within the yard or warehouse. Follow safety procedures diligently, including OSHA guidelines, to promote a safe working environment for all team members. Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or yard operations. Strong knowledge of inventory management and materials handling. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and load/unload machinery safely. Familiarity with operations including shipping & receiving processes. Basic math skills for measurements, weight calculations, and inventory counts. Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety during heavy lifting tasks. Prior experience in warehouse supervisor roles or managing warehouse workflows is a plus. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and proper use of material handling equipment operation.
