Yard Worker

Duties Load and unload trucks using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes to ensure timely delivery and dispatch of goods Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately and efficiently Perform order picking with electric or manual order pickers to fulfill customer or internal requests Manage shipping and receiving activities, verifying shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines Utilize construction experience to handle building materials or related supplies within the yard Maintain a clean, organized yard by stacking, storing, and securing materials properly for easy access and safety compliance Experience Prior warehouse distribution experience with familiarity in warehouse operations and logistics workflows Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and load/unload machinery Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing Strong background in shipping & receiving procedures with attention to detail in documentation and verification processes Construction or heavy equipment operation experience is highly desirable to handle diverse yard tasks effectively Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for extended periods Previous work involving order picking, load securing, and yard organization is preferred to excel in this role This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy warehouse environment where your skills directly contribute to operational success.
