For more than 30 years, we have supplied structural steel, metal roofing and wall panels, building components, welding supplies, and complete weld-up metal building packages. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and hands-on Yard Manager to oversee the daily operations of our yard and warehouse in Dublin, Texas. Position Overview The Yard Manager is responsible for managing daily yard operations, including order fulfillment, receiving, inventory organization, loading, employee workflow, safety, and coordination with sales and delivery personnel. This is a hands-on leadership position . The Yard Manager will supervise yard employees while also assisting with loading, receiving, inventory counts, and order preparation when needed. The right candidate will be organized, dependable, comfortable managing people, and willing to take ownership of day-to-day yard operations. Responsibilities Manage daily yard and warehouse operations Direct and prioritize work for yard employees Ensure customer orders are pulled, staged, verified, and completed on time Coordinate customer pickups, deliveries, and incoming shipments Oversee loading of customer vehicles and company delivery trucks Receive and inspect incoming material shipments Verify quantities and identify damaged, missing, or incorrect materials Maintain organized inventory locations throughout the yard and warehouse Help maintain accurate inventory records in Fishbowl ERP Perform and oversee inventory counts and cycle counts Investigate and report inventory discrepancies Coordinate with sales, purchasing, estimating, and delivery personnel Train and supervise yard employees Monitor productivity, order accuracy, and workflow Maintain clean and safe loading, storage, and work areas Ensure forklifts and material-handling equipment are operated safely Report equipment maintenance or repair needs Identify operational problems and recommend improvements Provide strong customer service during material pickup and loading Qualifications Previous warehouse, yard, construction, logistics, manufacturing, agricultural, or building-material experience preferred Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to lead employees and hold team members accountable Ability to prioritize multiple orders and daily tasks Strong attention to detail Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Ability to work independently and solve problems Forklift experience preferred Experience with inventory or ERP systems is a plus Previous steel industry experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Physical Requirements Candidates must be able to: Regularly stand, walk, bend, climb, and move throughout the yard Lift and handle materials weighing up to approximately 75 pounds Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment Work around steel, trucks, trailers, machinery, and construction materials Why Work at Bradberry Steel?
